Gardom Lake Guild, an Introduction to our group
Gardom Lake Guild
After moving to the area in 2015 I have discovered other talented artists living in close proximity. Not surprising as the area we live in has so many truly amazing treasures to be found. The first attraction, and perhaps most prominent is the Enderby Cliffs. One cannot tire of looking at them with different times of the day and each season creating a new charm. For the athletic persons they also have added feature of the hike to the top. I recommend it if you have not yet done it. The views are breathtaking.
Gardom Lake itself is calming and exciting at the same time. A still surface reflects peaceful surroundings but hosts an abundance of life. Fishermen and canoeists can be spotted and besides catching fish they can also be seen jumping. I have seen a hatch of dragonflies. There is also the chilling call of loons. It is a wonderful spot to unwind.
Arts have been my whole life and I work every day at it. This may include going on a hike that reinvigorates and inspires, so usually have my camera with me. I never really have to go far as there is so much available right outside my window.
This past year picnic days were a regular occurrence to discover hidden gems, gather new ideas, and to just get away for wellbeing.
As spring will be approaching soon it seems like the perfect time to reveal and introduce a few artists that are in the Enderby area. I know there are many more and look forward to adding to our Guild. I hope to eventually feature an annual spring and fall studio tour where arts enthusiasts can visit each of us on a set day.
Enjoy our preview of works and we hope to hear from some of you soon,
